MUSICAL COMEDY HIT ‘KISS ME KATE’ SET TO TAKE THE STAGE AT PV HIGH
Brush up your Shakespeare with Cole Porter’s musical comedy Kiss Me, Kate, presented by the Palos Verdes High School Drama Department for seven performances April 13th-22nd. Passions run high as leading lady Lilli Vanessi and her ex-husband, actor/director Fred Graham, battle onstage and off in a production of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew. Throw in a number of cases of mistaken identity, the mob, and show stopping dance numbers, and you get Kiss Me, Kate – a dazzling Broadway classic that earned the first Tony Award for Best Musical. Featuring classic hit songs “Another Op’nin’, Another Show,” “Always True To You in My Fashion,” and “Too Darn Hot,” Kiss Me, Kate promises to entertain.
Performances are April 13-14 and 21 at 7:00pm, April 15, 21-22 at 2:00pm, and April 20 at 3:00pm in the MPR at Palos Verdes High School, 600 Cloyden Road in Palos Verdes Estates.
